Oregon Firm Offers 529 Ed Materials

Portland, Oregon-based Arnerich Massena & Associates has created college savings educational materials for financial services firms to distribute to investors. The firm cut its teeth providing communications materials to 401(k) providers and is leveraging those relationships to build demand for the new offering, said Sherri Fitts, director sales and marketing for Arnerich's Education Division.

"This is another issue that providers need to address for employees and investors to see their total financial picture," she explained.

Arnerich recently landed Associated Bank as a user of the materials. The Green Bay, Wisconsin-based bank will offer the materials to its 401(k) clients. However, the materials are targeted at the employee, or investor level.

The Scholars and Cents package covers 529 college savings plans, Uniform Gift to Minors Accounts (UGMAs), Coverdale accounts, and EE-series bond investments that parents use to safe for college. It also helps parents determine how much they will need to save.
