Advisors are increasing exposure to hedge fund-like mutual funds. Funds such as Mainstay[profile] Marketfield and Pimco[profile] Unconstrained Bond are appealing to advisors, whom, combined with institutions purchased a net $19.1 billion in alternative mutual funds: "Advisors are just piling into these funds," says Nadia Papagiannis, Morningstar's alternative-funds research director, in the Barron's article.
