Putnam Lovell Taps Robertson Stephens Vet

Kenneth R. Fitzsimmons, Jr. has emerged from an early retirement to join Putnam Lovell NBF Securities as a senior advisor to the firm. Putnam Lovell NBF advises financial services firms on M&A and financing activity.

Fitzsimmons had retired after FleetBoston shuttered Robertson Stephens in 2002. At that time he was head of Equity Capital Markets and a member of its executive committee. He was a founder of that firm's predecessor Robertson, Colman, Stephens & Woodman in the late 1970s. He is also a trustee of Brown University where he earned a B.A. degree and a board member of the Brown University Sports Foundation.

In is new position, he plans to advise clients in the securities industry and assisting in the development of Putnam Lovell NBF strategy.

"When I was approached by Don Putnam, I was enjoying my retirement," said Fitzsimmons, "but I was attracted by the prospect of returning to a client-focused, entrepreneurial team. I have missed working with clients, and ours is an industry at the crossroads. These times are far too exciting and challenging to miss."
