Fink Courts Geithner

It looks like BlackRock [profile] chief executive Larry Fink is trying to woo former U.S. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner to join the world's biggest asset manager.

Fox Business reports that Giethner has recently held a series of meetings with Fink according to three people with direct knowledge of the matter. Although no specific job at the big money management firm has been discussed, Fink and Geithner discussed possible future employment, these people say.

The network noted that Geithner is currently a distinguished fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and has told people he plans to remain at the council and write his book at least for most of the next year. After that, though, he has told people that he's keeping his options open.

The report also caught the attention of DealBreaker.
