Thursday, March 28, 2013 TCW Says Goodbye to a Managing Director Peter Viles is leaving TCW. Erin Freeman, head of communications at Farmers' Insurance, confirmed that Viles will join the insurer in mid-April as head of employee communications. Viles had served as managing director and head of corporate communications at TCW, a post previously held by Freeman. A spokesman for TCW declined to comment on Viles' departure. Prior to joining TCW in 2008, Viles worked with the Los Angeles Times, CNN and the Associated Press. Two Carlyle Group investment funds various TCW employees completed their buyout of TCW from Societe Generale last month.
