Friday, March 15, 2013 Who Cleaned Up At the 2013 Lipper Awards? What a night it was, with over 300 awards honoring 89 fund firms in over 100 different fund categories. So, who cleaned out at the 2013 Fund Awards Ceremony hosted by Lipper yesterday in New York City? The Lipper Fund Awards are part of the Thomson Reuters Awards for Excellence, a global family of awards that celebrate exceptional performance throughout the professional investment community. First, eight group awards were presented to eight different firms:
Besides the overall awards, Lipper also presented awards in a variety of classifications, raining from Absolute Return Funds to Real Estate Funds to Utility Funds, and so on. Many of these classifications were then broken down into various age groups, usually 3-, 5-, and 10-years, although some only accounted for 3- and 5-years, and a few just had 3-years. Adding all these awards together, along with the overall, and you get over 300. Who were among the top winners?
