Change at the Top for Schwab

There has been a change in the chain-of-command at San Francisco-based Charles Schwab [profile].

Jim McCool is no longer the middle man between Bernie Clark, head of advisor services, and CEO Walt Bettinger. Clark will now be reporting directly to Bettinger.

There is no word on how this might affect Schwab's asset management business.

This change also applies to retirement chief Steve Anderson, as covered on our sister publication, 401kWire.
