Vanguard Reprices Both Ways

Vanguard is continuing its frontal assault on fee prices in the fund industry.

As of February 22, the firm cut fees on three funds and raised them on two others.

In particular, the fund giant cut the expense ratio of the High Dividend Yield Index Fund ETF class by three basis points to ten basis points and the fee of the investor class of this fund by five basis points to 20 basis points. It also cut the expense ratio of the investor class of the Selected Value Fund by seven basis points to 38 basis points.

Vanguard then raised the ratio of the investor class of the International Explorer Fund by one basis point to 43 basis points and that of the investor class of the Mid-Cap Growth Fund by one basis point as well to 54 basis points.

In January, Vanguard cut the fees on five funds. On December 28, it cut the fees on 47 funds, while on December 27, it cut fees on 11 ETFS.
