Safeco Taps B-D Distribution Chief


SAFECO has tapped Jeffrey Hardwick to oversee broker-dealer distribution of its investment management products. He takes the title of managing director of SAFECO Life & Investments' life and will oversee all broker-dealer distribution of mutual fund products along with insurance, annuities, and retirement plans.

Hardwick was most recently regional director for Jackson National Life's northwest division. Prior to that he was a regional manager and regional marketing director for Jackson National Life's Pacific Northwest Territory, based out of Lansing, Michigan and Los Angeles. He also held sales and marketing leadership positions at G.T. Capital Management in San Francisco, and Putnam Financial Services in Boston. Hardwick was also a retail broker for A.G. Edwards & Sons in Evergreen, Colorado.
