Monday, February 4, 2013 A Fund Sales Executive is Hired for the East As part of three-month plan to expand its sales force, Allianz Global Investors has hired Greg Shannahan to its advisory sales team, where he will serve as a senior vice president, eastern division sales anager based in New York. Shannahan has over 25-years of experience in the securities industry. Most recently, he was the national sales director at Octavus Group. Prior to Octavus, he was with Alliance Bernstein for 25 years. During his tenure, Greg was a top producing sales person from 1992-2002, was head of US training in 2003 and ran the Eastern Division from 2004-2010. Roddy Marino, Allianz’s head of advisory sales told MFWire that “we are expecting Greg to bring his experience to help us both grow the sales per existing Investment Consultant (organic sales growth per IC) and also help grow from the addition of new IC's.
