The Active ETF Boom is Coming

Bill Gross may be the big bully on the active ETF playground right now, but he'll soon have company, according to an Investment News report.

Pooneh Baghai, McKinsey & Co.'s co-leader in wealth management, asset management and retirement for the Americas, told reporter Jason Kephart that the space will grow from $10 billion today to $500 billion in 2020.

How will this happen? Essentially, names we all know — Fidelity [profile], T. Rowe Price [profile] and Franklin [profile — will get in the game and bring in big money.

Kephart notes that Gross' Pimco Total Return ETF [profile has brought in more than $4 million in less than a year — representing more than 80 percent of active ETF growth.
