For example, Cook & Bynum [profile] has cut the management fee of its pure value Cook & Bynum Fund by 39 basis points to 149 basis points. The fund garnered a 5-Star Rating from Morningstar in August, 2012 based on its risk-adjusted performance among large-blend funds for the three-year period ending June 30, 2012. The move follows an escalating fee war among ETF providers and indexers. For example, Vanguard [profile] announced at the end of 2012 that it was cutting the fees on 47 ETFs.
