Wednesday, January 2, 2013 The Bell Tolled Thrice for BlackRock BIF Funds BlackRock operates at least eight other funds in this series. BlackRock liquidated three funds out of its BIF Multi-State Municipal Series Trust in December, according to prospectus materials. The three funds, the BIF Arizona Municipal Money Fund, BIF Florida Municipal Money Fund, and the BIF North Carolina Municipal Money Fund were liquidated on December 20th. This just another example of the money fund tsunami as firms bolt from the niche. Indeed, HSBD recently filed to close two such funds by the end of January.
