Wednesday, January 2, 2013 Two Tax-Free Funds Bite the Dust HSBC Funds is liquidating two money market funds. According to an SEC filing, the firm will liquidate by January 31 the HSBC New York Tax-Free Money Market Fund and the HSBC Tax-Free Money Market Fund. On the company website, the New York fund is listed as having just over $312 million of assets as of November 30, 2012, while the Tax-Free money fund had $109 million.
