The Journal Lists Possible Schapiro Successors

Mary Schapiro isn't technically out the door as SEC chair yet, but that doesn't mean industry insiders and the financial press have to wait to start guessing at who will replace her.

An article in today's Wall Street Journal delves into who exactly is being considered to take the top job policing the nations markets.

Mary John Miller, currently the Treasury Department's under secretary for domestic finance, is apparently a good possibility.

Other names mentioned in the article include current commissioner Elise Walter, SEC enforcement director Robert Khuzami, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Chairman Richard G. Ketchum, former SEC commissioner Harvey Goldschmid and current CEO of CBOE Holdings William J. Brodsky, according to the Journal.
