The Johnsons' Cash "Heads For the Border"

Forgive the Boston Herald a bit of chagrin over the Johnsons' plans to expand their operations in New Hampshire, rather than Massachusetts.

The Herald reports that a "secretive business that manages billions for Fidelity Investments' controlling shareholders" is buying office space in a "secluded setting just north of the Massachusetts border."

This proposed location of this new three-story office building is the town of Salem, New Hampshire, where the Crosby Group, which manages the personal wealth of Ned Johnson and his family, moved in 2010 "to take advantage of New Hampshire’s favorable trust laws," according to the Herald.

It will be a 75,000 square foot space on 50 acres, designed for around 200 employees.

A Fidelity spokeswoman emphasized that this is "not a Fidelity project."

Further details in the Herald story.
