Denver Firm Wants an Investment Strategy Head


Curian Capital has an opening for a head of investment strategy at its Denver office.

According to the Linkedin posting, the "Head of Investment Strategy is responsible for managing the Investment Strategy Group (ISG) within Curian’s Assest Management Group.  ISG responsibilities include portfolio construction at the asset class level, asset allocation, sub-advisor diligence and overall investment strategy."

Curian Capital is a subsidiary of Jackson National Life Insurance Company.

This job opening is just the latest in a series of staffing expansions at the Colorado asset manager.

Earlier this week, the firm hired Amy Temkin as vice president of strategic accounts.

Meanwhile, in June, the firm hired Bill Thomas as senior vice president of distribution for the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) channel and Bret Young as senior vice president for institutional distribution. Joseph Hunter joined Curian Clearing, Curian's clearing and operations organization, as senior vice president of operations.

Also in June, Curian hired John Smith as vice president and client portfolio manager. In his new role and Brian Hargreaves as vice president of strategic development. Mark Godfrey also joined Curian as vice president and director of the Client Portfolio Management team in support of Elite Access, a product recently launched by Curian’s parent company, Jackson National Life Insurance Company. Finally, Susanne Leisy joined Curian as vice president of strategic development for the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and institutional channels.
