Tuesday, September 25, 2012 An FSC Alum Finds a Home at Achaean Wonder what mutual fund world celebrity Mark Schlafly has been up to? The MFWire has found that the former head of FSC Securities and ex-LPL Financial senior VP has been supporting the launch and initial run of Mike Henkel's a new retirement venture. A company spokeswoman confirmed that Schlafly has served in a senior management capacity at Chicago-based Achaean Financial since the firm's inception around four months ago. The 401kWire, the MFWire's sister publication, also reported on the appointment two months ago of Shlomo Benartzi as Achaean's first academic advisor. Henkel and Achaean co-founder and insurance industry veteran Lorry Stensrud also told the 401kWire's back in June that they were "actively searching" for candidates to fill key posts at the company.
