Beacon Hill Wins a Client from Foreside

Beacon Hill has won the distribution contract for the Boston Trust family of mutual funds, including the Walden Funds. The funds had been distributed by Foreside prior to the change.

Boston Trust announced the deal in a press release.

BHIL Distributors, Beacon Hill's affiliated broker-dealer, will distribute all the mutual funds managed by Boston Trust Investment Management (BTIM) and Walden Asset Management. The BTIM website lists ten mutual funds with a combined AUM of approximately $930.6 million.

Beacon Hill president Scott Englehart spoke with MFWire about his firm's history and the deal with Boston Trust. He said that Boston Trust approached his firm and asked him to do an RFP, and that the entire process took about a year.

Beacon Hill is a five-year-old firm located in Columbus, Ohio, with sixteen clients and thirteen employees. Earlier this year, the company launched the Advisors Investment Trust, a mutual fund trust aimed at institutional money managers.
