Stork and Reaper for July 20, 2012

This week ends with a whimper, with the Stork delivering one new fund and the Reaper claiming no funds for the third straight day.

The Dreyfus Corporation has filed for the Dreyfus ACWI Ex-U.S. Index Fund. The fund seeks to match the performance of the Morgan Stanley Capital International All Country World Ex-U.S. Index (MSCI ACWI Ex-US Index), and will be managed by Thomas J. Durante, Karen Q. Wong, and Richard A. Brown. [SEC Filing]

One fund changed PMs and another fund closed to new investments.

Fidelity replaced John Harris with Gordon Scott on the Fidelity Advisor Consumer Discretionary Fund. Harris is no longer with the firm, after working with Fidelity since 2007. Scott joined Fidelity as an analyst in 2005, and will also serve as portfolio manager for the Fidelity Advisor Consumer Discretionary Fund and VIP Consumer Discretionary Portfolio. [SEC Filing]

Pimco will close the $20.1B PIMCO VIT CommodityRealReturn Strategy portfolio to new investments effective today, July 20, 2012, at 4 PM. The portfolio earned four stars and a Gold designation from Morningstar. [SEC Filing]
