Emerging Global Advisors has filed to launch the EGA Emerging Global Shares Trust. The ETF, which seeks investment results that correspond to the performance of the INDXX Beyond BRICs Index, will be advised by ALPS Advisors, Inc. and sub-advised by EGA. [SEC Filing] BlackRock is moving forward with the BlackRock US Real Estate Securities Strategy Fund. The fund seeks total return from long-term growth of capital and dividend income. The fund will be sub-advised by Main Management LLC. Kim D. Arthur, James W. Concidine, and J. Richard Fredericks will serve as PMs, following the investment objective of seeking total return from current income and gains from long-term capital appreciation. According to a Main Management representative, the strategy is to build a global, low volatility portfolio that provides equity income, with monthly covered calls that provide a 3-4 percent return and dividend income that provides an additional 2-3 percent annually. [SEC Filing] First Trust is prepping the CBOE S&P 500 VIX Tail Hedge Fund ETF. It will be managed by an investment committee headed by Daniel J. Lindquist. The fund seeks results on par with the performance of the CBOE VIX Tail Hedge Fund Index. [SEC Filing] Meanwhile, the Reaper has taken another day off, and the fund world has been given another respite. There were, however, changes in portfolio management and one retirement. BlackRock added a new PM for its Capital Appreciation, Focus Growth, and associated funds.
