Friday, July 6, 2012 There's Better Than a One-in-Three Chance That WisdomTree Sells Could ETF provider WisdomTree [profile] be a candidate for a buyout? Some analysts think so, wrote Brendan Conway earlier this week in Barron's "Focus on Funds" column. "We think WETF's exemptive relief is an attractive intangible asset for traditional asset managers looking for faster time to market in the Active ETF space," Conway reported that the Goldman Sachs analysts wrote. "This can also be seen from the recent deal activity, where 2 of last 3 ETF deals have been directed at companies with Active ETF products." Goldman puts the chance of "M&A activity" with WisdomTree at between 30 and 50 percent. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=40534 Copyright 2012, InvestmentWires, Inc. All Rights Reserved |
