The profile focused on St. Denis J. Villere III, great-grandson of the firms founder. Villere III is co-owner of the shop along with his father, cousin and uncle. The firm's trader is a young partner named Sandy, Shari writes. He manages both a $1.67 billion AUM high-net-worth investors' fund and the retail $170 million Villere Balanced Fund. Shari notes that principals believe the family nature of the firm allows them to focus on the funds, rather than on managing other people.
