Lord Abbett Doubles Partner Ranks

Lord Abbett has more than doubled the ranks of its partners. The Jersey City, New Jersey-based form named 26 new partners, bringing the total number to 47. That is the most partners the firm has ever had. The asset manager created the partnerships in response to strong growth, according to the firm.

"While most firms are responding to today's economic challenges with a reduction in staff, particularly in the senior ranks, Lord Abbett is bucking this trend and preparing for the future by investing in our executive leadership," said Bob Dow, managing partner at Lord Abbett. "Since becoming managing partner in 1996, I have seen the firm's partnership grow from 8 to 47, the employee base grow from 235 to 537, and the assets under management grow from approximately $19 billion to approximately $46 billion. Lord Abbett continues to provide intelligent investment expertise and market leadership because we continue to invest in our number one asset - our people."

The new partners at the 73-year-old firm are:

Tracie Ahern; Michael Brooks; Patrick Browne; John DiChiaro; Stan Dinsky; Lesley-Jane Dixon; Kevin Ferguson; Daniel Frascarelli; Michael Goldstein; Howard Hansen; Charles Hofer; Cinda Hughes; Ellen Itskovitz; Robert Lee; Maren Lindstrom; Gregory Macosko; Thomas Malone; Charles Massare, Jr., Paul McNamara; Ted Oberhaus; Walter Prahl; Michael Rose; Richard Sieling; Michael Smith; Richard Smola; and Diane Tornejal.
