Friday, January 20, 2012 A Former Invesco Exec Founds a New Firm Former Invesco Ltd. investment strategist Diane Garnick is launching a firm to manage funds from pensions, endowments and other asset managers, Bloomberg reports. The New York-based firm, dubbed Clear Alternatives LLC, reportedly has potential investor pledges and is aiming to raise some $500 million by December 31 and to increase its staff to 12 from its current staff of four, including Garnick. Before joining Invesco in 2007, Garnick worked at Merrill Lynch & Co. derivatives strategist and State Street Corp. investment strategist.
