Berkowitz Gives No More Clues on Fernandez

Barron's is on the story of Charlie Fernandez' sudden departure from Fairholme [see profile] last week. But the pub is not providing any more answers as to what happened. Bruce Berkowitz told Barron's only that Fairholme wishes Fernandez "the best" and that Fernandez resigned as vice chair of the board of St. Joe, a Fairholme portfolio company that Berkowitz himself has stepped in to take over as chairman. The paper reports that it could not reach Fernandez.
