Wednesday, October 23, 2002 New Social Fund Names Subadvisor The Stancell Social Fund has tapped SSgA Funds Management to act as sub-advisor. The new fund will follow a socially-responsible investment mandate and make investments in securities of companies that satisfy certain social responsibility criteria and that generally promote the revitalization of distressed communities through their location in Federal Empowerment Zones and/or Enterprise Communities. The fund directors did not disclose the identities of any other candidates for the mandate in the release. The fund is the idea of Robert Stancell, according to a SSgA spokesperson.
