American Beacon Puts its Sub-advisors in the Spotlight

American Beacon Advisors, the Fort Worth, Texas-based, private equity-backed firm with a  multi-manager approach, held its Second Annual Investment Forum Thursday morning. Company officials led by president and CEO Gene Needles were in New York City for the event, which was held at the Park Central Hotel in midtown Manhattan.

Investment pros from American Beacon and 10 of the American Beacon funds' sub-advisors took part in panels -- bond,  domestic equity and international equity/emerging markets -- moderated by Needles before an audience of journalists.

The American Beacon contingent at the event  included Wyatt Crumpler, vice president of asset management; Brian Brett, vice president of sales and head of distribution; and senior portfolio managers Adriana Posada,  Kirk Brown and Patrick Sporl.

Brandywine Global Investment Management, Strategic Income Management, MFS, Evercore Asset Management, Pzena Investment Management, Dreman Value Management, Lazard Asset Management, Brandes Investment Partners, Morgan Stanley Investment Management and The Boston Company Investment Management were the sub-advisors that were represented in the panels.

American Beacon operates 22 mutual funds and works with 26 sub-advisors.
