Wednesday, August 31, 2011 American Century is Now Part-Owned by a Canadian Firm Toronto-based CIBC has completed its purchase of a 41 percent equity interest in American Century Investments for USD 848 million in cash. JPMorgan previously held the stake. Kansas City, Missouri-based American Century had AUM of $111 billion as of end-July. The deal was first announced on July 15.
