Despite big plans to raise its profile by sponsoring the Pats, Putnam still hasn’t won Kraft’s investment business away from Fidelity, where Reynolds used to work.

"Obviously we’re in the business of managing money, managing retirement funds -- but we have to earn it,” Reynolds acknowledged. “If we earn it, I think it will be a good part of the partnership.”
