Wechsler Ross Names its New CEO

Wechsler Ross & Partners, a New York City-based branding and communications firm, has a new CEO. The company's president, Dan Ross, became CEO effective today.

Ross' predecessor, company founder and mutual fund marketing pioneer Arnold Wechsler, died on June 6 after a battle with lung cancer.

"I spent 21 years working side by side with Arnold Wechsler," Ross told MFWire.com, "and I'm looking forward to moving forward with the great team that we put together."

Wechsler Ross' clients in the asset management space include Ariel Investments, Dimensional Fund Advisors, JPMorgan Asset Management, Neuberger Berman and Nuveen Investments.

In 1994, Ross became a principal of what was then known as Wechsler & Partners. He began working with the company as an independent writer and brand consultant four years earlier. Ross became president in 1997 when the firm was rebranded Wechsler Ross & Partners.

His pre-Wechsler career spanned the areas of journalism, publishing, branding and language simplication.
