NY City Manager Lands Consulting Industry Insider

Lazard Asset Management has hired William P. Enright, CFA, to fill a newly created position of senior vice president in charge of its Consultant Relations Group.

Enright, who reports to Managing Director Robert DeConcini in the institutional marketing area, will be working with Bernadette Garfinkle, vice president. His hiring is intended to continue to further enhance Lazard's relationship building efforts with institutional investment consultants. The target of the efforts would be defined benefit plans and other institutional investors. Enright started earlier this week, a spokesman for the firm confirmed.

For the past 12 years, Enright has been with Towers Perrin, where he was most recently the practice leader at their New York Office Asset Consulting Group. Enright was also a vice president at Merrill Lynch Capital Markets, where he co-founded their Pension Strategies Group.

Lazard Freres & Co. manages about $54 billion for institutional and private clients globally, according to the company.
