WisdomTree Lists its Stock on the Nasdaq

Yesterday was a big day for Jonathan Steinberg and co. at WisdomTree [see profile]. The New York City-based ETF shop listed its stock on the Nasdaq under the symbol "WETF."

The "NASDAQ listing is an important milestone and represents the next chapter of growth for the Company," said CEO Steinberg in a press release.

Previously, WisdomTree's stock was listed on Pink Sheets under the symbol "WSDT."

WisdomTree, which entered the ETF business in 2006 and is now the eighth largest sponsor with $13.4 billion of AUM, originally planned to list its stock on the Nasdaq in 2007.

IndexUniverse also picked up on Tuesday's listing.
