A Multi-Boutique Brings in Three Distribution Chiefs
Montage Investments [see profile] just hired a trio of top distribution executives. Today the $8-billion-AUM, Leawood, Kansas-based multi-boutique revealed the addition of David Henrisken as head of distribution, Anthony Carrubba as national sales manager and Jenny Rhodus as director of national accounts.
Henriksen previously worked in portfolio management and product development at Tortoise Capital Advisors, a Montage boutique with about $6.6 billion in assets under management, before working on distribution efforts for Tortoise, a role he's now expanding to encompass all of Montage's boutiques. Carrubba and Rhodus hail from Ivy Funds, where they served as vice president of strategic accounts (overseeing RIA and retirement distribution) and national director of the RIA channel, respectively. The MFWire.com could not immediately reach a spokesperson for Ivy on how Carruba's and Rhodus' duties are being handled.
Montage president and chief investment officer Gary Henson directly connected the hirings to the fact that several of its boutiques -- Convergence Investment Partners, Nuance Investments, Palmer Square Capital Management and Tortoise -- have recently entered the mutual fund business [see The MFWire.com, 5/19/2011 and 6/1/2011].
"As we continue to launch new products, it is vital that we offer top-notch distribution support to the financial intermediaries we serve," Henson stated.
