Sentinel Turns Over its Back Office to...

Boston Financial Data Services, a joint venture between DST Systems, Inc. and State Street Corp., today said that it has assumed key elements of transfer agency operations for Sentinel Investments. Boston Financial will support Sentinel's transaction processing, control, broker servicing and quality control, among other critical functions.

The back office changeover allows Sentinel to primarily focus on managing investments, although it retains primary call center responsibility. Boston Financial will also assume its share of the call center work load as well.

In a statement, John Birch, chief operating oficer, Sentinel Administrative Services, Inc. said through a review process his firm decided that it would better serve its investors by delegating back office duties to Boston Financial, which specializes in transfer agency operations.

DST previously provided transfer agency technology to Sentinel and will continue to do so via its association with Boston Financial.
