Web Site is Retrofitted

Armada Funds' is pulling up anchor with an enhanced Web site for retail clients, institutions and investment professionals. The bulked-up site sports more complete fund information, education and planning tools, research and sales tools and market updates.

The National City fund arm chose FinanCenter and Standard & Poor's to provide the tools, educational programs, and investment news. S&P's contribution includes more than 14,000 mutual fund profiles, a user-defined portfolio tracking tool, watch list, a mutual fund screening tool, and editorial features.

Armada Funds also picked Meindl & Associates of Illinois and Colorado-based SySys Corporation as web-design project partners. The fund firm also recently hired Portland, Oregon-based Arnerich Messina and Associates to retool its 401(k)-focused Web site.

"Today's investors and advisors are looking for investment research with an independent perspective, and they expect the same rigorous research and opinions that are available to the largest institutional firms," said Kenneth Ennis, managing director, Investment Services, Standard & Poor's, in a release.

National City Investment Management Company (IMC) advises the 31 mutual funds in the Armada Funds family.
