Friday, April 8, 2011 An Ex-Matthews PM Launches an Advisory Shop Former Matthews Asia Funds PM Andrew Foster, who left the San Francisco firm last month, has started Seafarer Capital Partners to offer advice to mutual funds and other co-mingled investment vehicles, Morningstar reports. On the Seafarer Web site, Foster says that contrary to popular perception, he thinks now is "a great time to start a new business" because of the abundance of "talented, hard-working people eager for new opportunity" and the fact that the U.S. maintains a "fair, flexible and relatively transparent landscape for business."
