Friday, March 11, 2011 Artisan Partially Re-Closes International Value Artisan [see profile] partially closed a hot fund. On Wednesday the Milwaukee-based mutual fund firm filed [see filing] to re-close the $3.32 billion International Value Fund. Morningstar's Courtney Goethals Doborow broke the news in Morningstar's "Fund Times" column. According to Morningstar, Artisan previously kept the fund similarly shuttered from early 2007 to early 2009. Since reopening at the beginning of 2009, the fund has attracted about $1.9 billion in inflows. Existing instutional clients and retirement plan participants (in plans that already have Artisan Internationl Value) will still be able to buy new shares.
