Tuesday, February 15, 2011 Neuberger's New PM Helms a New Offering Neuberger Berman [see profile] this month is introducing the Neuberger Berman Large Cap Value Fund in A, C and Institutional Classes. The fund, which has been in incubation and will now be available to outside investors, is managed by newly hired portfolio manager Eli M. Salzmann, who joined Neuberger Berman from Lord, Abbett & Co. in January 2011 (see The MFWire 01/25/2011), to expand the firm's capabilities in U.S. large cap value strategies to institutional and retail investors. Salzmann will look to bet on undervalued U.S. and multinational companies with market capitalizations exceeding $10 billion and outperform the fund's benchmark, the Russell 1000 Value Index. "This is truly an acively managed, bottom-up portfolio," Salzman told The MFWire. "I came here because the firm offers amazing opportunities in terms ofthe quality and depth of resources and my history has shown that I have clearly beaten the index."
