WSJ Spotlights Go-Anywhere Bond Funds

In today's Wall Street Journal Fund Track column, Daisy Maxey looks into the risks and rewards of go-anywhere bond funds.

She mentions the $14.3 billion Pimco Unconstrained Bond Fund, which was unveiled in June 2008; the $12.2 billion J.P. Morgan Strategic Income Opportunities Fund, which launched in October 2008 and the $10.7 million Harbor Unconstrained Bond Fund, a Pimco-sub-advised product that was unveiled in April of last year.

Among those quoted in the article are the Pimco fund's PM Chris Dialynas, Pimco vice president of product management Lisa Kim, Morningstar director of fixed income research Eric Jacobson and Los Angeles-based fee-only advisor Lawrence Weinman.
