Tuesday, January 18, 2011 A Possible Pioneer Suitor is in the News Again In early December, UK's Daily Express reported that Resolution, an insurance-centric takoever group, was interested in making a bid for Unicredit's Pioneer Investments. [See MFWire's living timeline of the Pioneer auction for more details and history.] Now a month has passed and it seems that the folks at Resolution are still mulling over the possibility. Reuters, citing two unnamed sources, reported last Friday that Resolution is "considering a bid" for Pioneer. According to the article, Resolution was among the companies approached by UniCredit.
