RidgeWorth Drafts an NFL Vet to Tackle Retail Sales


Last month, The MFWire.com reported that RidgeWorth Investments [see profile] was building its retail sales force and planned to name the national sales manager for the retail sales channel in early January. Now, the Atlanta-based firm has revealed its pick for the job.

RidgeWorth hired Bob Kuberski, who from 1995 to 2000 played professional football for the Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots and was an advisor with Morgan Stanley during the off-season. Most recently, Kuberski was a regional vice president with Invesco.

An Invesco spokesperson was not immediately available for comment on how Kuberski's duties are being handled.

Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania-based Kuberski will lead a team of five to seven wholesalers who will mainly call on advisors affiliated broker-dealers and RIAs.

RidgeWorth, which counts eight investment boutiques in its fold, is the investment adviser to the RidgeWorth Funds mutual fund family.
