Thursday, December 23, 2010 Fidelity Taps an Evergreen Alum for a C-Level Role Fidelity Management & Research Company has tapped Joe DeSantis to lead part of the Boston-based firm's domestic equity team, company spokeswoman Sophie Launay confirmed to The MFWire.com. DeSantis, whose title is chief investment officer, joined the mutual fund giant in early November and reports to group chief investment officer Bruce Herring. Pensions & Investments' Doug Appell first reported on the news. DeSantis takes on some of Herring's duties on the domestic equity side. Herring will continue to retain some domestic equity responsibilities and will continue to oversee the international equity group. DeSantis is an alum of Evergreen Investments.
