McQuaid Plans to Take a Breather


Columbia Wanger Asset Management president and chief investment officer Charles McQuaid, the lead manager of the $16.7 billion Columbia Acorn Fund, plans to take a three-month break next year. McQuaid plans to go on a sabbatical from January 14 to March 31. [SEC filing]

Robert Mohn, director of research at Columbia WAM and co-PM of the fund, will become lead PM during that time and Zachary Egan will serve as co-PM.
