Can things be going any better than they have for Pimco since El-Erian rejoined to Newport Beach in January of 2008? The bond fund king was one of the few, if not the only, firms to gain even as the stock market collapsed and the nation's investors ran to T-Bills.

El-Erian has also been on the team for Pimco's triumphant entry into ETFs and its return to stock funds. Still, the former head of Harvard Management Company has Bill Gross on his team and that is a big bat.
