Tuesday, November 16, 2010 American Funds Preps a Global Fund A new mutual fund is on the way from American Funds. The California-based firm has filed papers with the SEC to launch the American Funds Global Balanced Fund [SEC filing]. Dow Jones' Sam Mamudi notes that this would be the third mutual fund of the past decade for American Funds. The last time the firm came out with a new mutual fund product was in October 2008, when American Funds International Growth and Income Fund came into existence.
