Bogle Bags the Fuse Lifetime Impact Award

Vanguard founder Jack Bogle received the Fuse Lifetime Impact Award on Tuesday at the MFWire Influencers Summit at the Ritz Carlton in Boston.

This marks the first time that Fuse Research Network, which partnered with MFWire for the summit, is handing out industry awards.

In his speech, Bogle said the media buzz surrounding Vanguard becoming the biggest mutual fund firm by assets prompted him to reflect on those that previously held that distinction: Massachusetts Investor Trust, Investors Diversified Services and Fidelity.

To wear the crown for a long time, Vanguard needs "to stick to our original value, to revel in our mutual structure, avoid marketing fads, be wary of complacency remember where we came from and do nothing to violate the trust that clients place in us."
