Friday, September 24, 2010 Fidelity to Two Funds: Sayonara A couple of proposed fund mergers at Fidelity [see profile] have caught the eye of Morningstar's Courtney Goethals Dobrow, who wrote about the proposals as part of her Fund Times column. The Boston Behemoth plans to merge the Fidelity Advisor Japan Fund, which has $33.7 million of assets, into the $893 million Fidelity Japan Fund. [SEC filing] The firm also plans to merge the $49.2 million Fidelity Advisor Fifty Fund into the $12.3 billion Fidelity Advisor New Insights Fund.
