Monday, September 13, 2010 Three Fund Firms Gain 401k Distribution through Transamerica Calamos Investments [see profile], Eaton Vance [see profile] and Manning & Napier [see profile] have gained spots on Transamerica Retirement Services' 401(k) platform. Naperville, Illinois-based Calamos has been a making a push into the DC I-O space. The firm recently hired Paul Pilcher from RidgeWorth Investments as director of retirement distribution covering the Southwest, according to a company spokeswoman. Manning & Napier, meanwhile, saw a change in its ranks recently. Ben Gorton, who focused on DC I-O at the Rochester, New York-based company, left to join Wilmington Trust in July. Manning & Napier has not named a replacement for Gorton, a company spokesperson told The MFWire.com on Monday. The spokesperson added that the firm's commitment to the DC I-O space "remains strong, with several long-tenured professionals focused on the DC market." Manning & Napier currently 11 people decided to the DC space "and our goal is to continue to expand our focus."
