Ex-Cohen and Steers Sales Head Lands a New Gig

Former Cohen & Steers executive John McCombe has joined Richard Bernstein Advisors as co-president and director of sales and marketing.

McCombe shares presidential duties with David Bloom, who also serves as chief operating officer at the New York firm, which focuses on top-down macro asset allocation and style investing.

Previously, McCombe spent nearly 13 years at Cohen & Steers [see profile], most recently as director of retail sales and marketing and president of Cohen & Steers' distribution arm. He left the firm at the end of last year.

McCombe also helped Tortoise Capital Advisors LLC raise more than $1 billion in a closed-end fund offering two months ago.

Earlier in his career, McCombe was with Merrill Lynch for 14 years.
